As the homeowner general contractor for an addition and remodel of the home illustrated at the bottom of D1, I was informed by a reliable source about two brothers who were highly skilled and could quickly frame the new addition. I was warned that they would likely arrive and or leave, drunk, but that I should overlook it. Although hesitant, I hired them, along with a second small crew, to remodel the existing home. On the first day, the leader of that crew asked if it was ok for them to smoke pot before the start of the day. I smiled and said yes. Some weeks later, I stood back admiring the quality of work from both crews. I looked at the smokers and said, “they as stoned, and the framers are plastered.
